Anggun

Anggun Cipta Sasmi is an Indonesian-born French singer/songwriter. She has released 12 studio albums 5 in Indonesian and English, 4 in French and one soundtrack album Open Hearts, and her songs have also been included on various compilation albums. Her musical career began in childhood, and she achieved commercial success in Indonesia when she was 12 years old. At the age of 20, she moved to Europe, and she is now living in Paris, France.
Her best-known album is Snow on the Sahara, which has been released in 33 countries across the world, including the US; this album also spawned her biggest worldwide hit to date, Snow on the Sahara.

The daughter of composer Saint Preux and a painter/author mother, Clémence, from a young age, grew up in an artistic world, therefore it was only natural that she would turn towards music and singing early in her life, also learning piano and guitar and taking lessons in dance and comedy. When she was 12 years of age, the young girl met Johnny Hallyday. Enchanted by her voice, he recorded the song On a tous besoin d'amour with her. The song garnered great success in France (it attained 4th place on the top 50 in November 2001). Nevertheless, she had to wait until 2005 to be reviewed on the front of the music scene.
That year, she took part in a duo with Jean-Baptiste Maunier – who had also then just made his glowing debut with the success of Choristes – the single Concerto pour deux voix. The title, which compares itself more to a vocal exercise because of the absence of words, is an adaptation of Concerto pour une voix (Concerto for one voice), composed by Saint Preux in 1969. The success was once more that of a partnership, however, and at the end of 2005, Clémence released a solo single, Sans défense (Without Defense), followed by La vie comme elle vient in the following year.
On 18 March 2007, Clémence became the fourth artist to reach a grand total of $50,000 "parts" sold on Sellaband, thereby allowing her to start recording an album.
Her first album, entitled Mes Jours (My Days), was recorded to follow directly after and scheduled to appear in shops in France on the 12 December 2007. Clémence wrote three of the fourteen songs on the disc herself.
'2011 with a new film, Perfect Baby, starring Jean-Baptiste Maunier, Deng Chao and Jane March. Also came Back to music world, soon, her album.

Singer, Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hamza Namira is being hailed as the “new Sayyid Darwish” (Al-Ahram). Often compared to Sayyid Darwish, Mohammed Mounir and Ahmed Mounib, Hamza's uniqueness is not only being one of the faces of the Arabic modern culture, but also his insistence on discussing the real and relevant social and humanitarian issues through his songs, to keep us firmly rooted in our culture and tradition, and dreaming of a better future.

Born in 1980, Hamza started to develop an interest in music during his teens, and he set about learning the guitar, keyboard, and ‘Oud. He composed his first songs and succeeded in getting a few like-minded friends together and established the band “Nomaira.”

His main musical influence is Nabil Al Bakly - a relatively unknown musician, whose group Hamza joined from 2000 to 2001. This experience greatly influenced the way music affected him and in a sense taught him the real meaning of music. Other influences in Hamza’s music include Middle Eastern, Egyptian traditional and folk music. He also likes light rock, jazz and Latin music. He admits that describing his music is a difficult task and that he’d rather leave it up to his audience to decide. In fact, Hamza loathes categorization and classification as his main goal from music is to express the way he thinks and feels towards life. He has experienced - like all the youth in his generation - the worries, conflicts, issues, and ideas that the modern world bombards us with from every direction, and he is just trying to express them through his songs.
